                               ORDINANCE NO. 10397
        
        
                   AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 10383,
                   ENCAPTIONED "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE
                   NO. 6958, AS AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING
                   ORDINANCE, SO AS TO AMEND ARTICLE V, SECTIONS
                   1004, 1014(5),  AND 1024(7) RELATIVE TO
                   SCREENING BETWEEN RESIDENTIAL USES AND
                   INDUSTRIAL USES IN THE M-1, M-2 AND M-3 ZONES,"
                   SO AS TO AMEND SECTION 1 THEREIN.

              	   SECTION 1.	  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
         THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 10383,
         encaptioned hereinabove, be and the same is hereby amended by
         deleting Section 1 in its entirety and substituting in lieu
         thereof a new Section 1 as follows:
                      
              SECTION 1.     That Article V, Sections 1004, 1014(5)
              and 1024(7) be amended by deleting:
                  
                   Any industrial use shall be screened on all side
                   yard and rear yard lot lines adjoining a
                   residential zone by one of the following methods
                   given below, as selected by the owner.
             
             
              and substituting in lieu thereof the following:
             
              	   Any industrial use shall be screened on all side
                   yard and rear yard lot lines adjoining a
                   residential use or zone by one (1) of the
                   methods given below, as selected by the owner.

         	   SECTION 2.	  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that this
         Ordinance shall take effect two weeks from and after its 
passage
         as required by law.
